Toynton Hall Specialist Residential College - What's On in and around Spilsby and Lincolnshire

Fantastic theatre in the heart of Spilsby. A variety of events across all creative arts with an excellent community feel.

A unique little spot, mid renovation, doing a great job already of providing a local community hub for live music & other events. The main body of the theatre itself is still a work in progress, and they're trying to raise funds to complete it. The cosy little bar (go through the door on the right of the property) is well established though, and does a good job of feeling like a victorian gentleman's club, or a large snug. The drinks are cheap, though bear in mind the selection is limited as space is too. There's an open fire, and the furniture is a mixed collection recovered from who knows where, but someone's put it all together with great care to create a unique, cosy, eclectic yet traditional feel. The bar currently hosts a great unplugged open mic night monthly on a Friday night (and Sunday afternoon too I believe, but I havent been to that session) and plenty of flyers are laid out on the piano for other events. Drinks are cheap, and community spirit is obviously already there. It's already a great place with great potential, and I can't wait to go back, even though it is a bit of a trip.
